If You Want To Win, Learn To Lose

I know that many of you are very familiar with the ideology that you always have to stay in a positive state of mind in order to achieve success. There are many others who press the idea that you need positive thinking in order to accomplish great feats in the Market. There are always going to be folk who say, "Just keep thinking positive." Well, the truth is that that statement isn't always correct - especially in Forex. Optimism is good and all, but when you are trading Forex - if you want to win, you need to learn to lose. I will explain...
I know that it sounds pretty ironic for me, a Forex investor and instructor of many years to be telling you that you need to begin to learn how to lose; then having the nerve to tell you that if you learn that you will become successful beyond measure. Here's what I am suggesting for you to get to that point - when you see a possible trade setting up, monitor your thoughts. What are you usually thinking about when you see that? Are you thinking about how much you think you are planning on making with that trade? Thinking about how wealthy you are going to be after that one cashes out? Well my friend and fellow trader, that is the WRONG IDEA! Actually, your only thought should be, "how much can I afford to lose if my stop gets hit?" Understand how many shares you can buy so that if, perchance, your stop gets hit, it will still be within your personal tolerance (in my opinion it should NEVER exceed 5% of your capital).
Many traders only think about how much they can make and therefore give no thought to position size. That can lead to a very dangerous situation. Let's take a fictitious trader named 'Sara' for example. If she is only focused on the upside of a trade, she might buy 5k shares because she is expecting at least a.25 cent move in her favor and $1,250 profit sounds great to her. Does that sound familiar? It's easy for her to buy that many shares if she only expects a 'win'.
The problem comes if that same trade, instead of going the anticipated way, turns against this very optimistic trader? What happens if the expected result isn't reached, but instead is heading in the opposite direction? If you have ever done this, the chances are greater that you already know the damage that this train of thought can have on your trading account and your general mental state - period! Understand that it doesn't take a great many trades; just one out of control trade can take you completely out of trading for a good long while. Have you ever damaged your account in 2 or 3 days so badly that it took you months or even years to earn back enough money to begin trading again? It is my self-appointed mission to ensure that you don't travel that road ever again...
I know very many people that fall into this category - myself included. I suppose that I could probably get upset and speak of my regrets with disdain, but there is absolutely no reason. I wholeheartedly recognize that without the pain that I have experienced early on in my trading career, I definitely wouldn't be the trader that I am today. Now, my first thought on every trade is the possible downside - EVERY TRADE! If I get a move in my direction, I quickly employ a trailing stop in order to break even AND pay myself as quickly as I can. This way, if my trade should happen to hit an "accidental home run," I am well prepared and receptive. You will have very few losing trades if you do this, and the losses you do have will be small. So, if you want to have a winning trading experience, learn how to lose properly!
When you want to win a game, you have to teach. When you lose a game, you have to learn.
Tom Landry
We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.
Play the game for more than you can afford to lose... only then will you learn the game.

THE Amazing Pictures

It looks like three glasses of wine served at the Pisa Tower. (Actually the photographer tilted the table and the camera at the same angle). (Link)

This touching shot makes aiming for the top not such a fanciful dream after all. The most famous landmark on the Parisian landscape is the perfect prop to make this little girl seem like a giant standing some 324 m (1,063 ft) tall. The low camera angle and large depth of field do the rest of the work. (Link)

Walking on water in Indonesia. (taken by 4 seconds exposure)(Link)

As painful as it may seen, this is a true photo. Julio Aparicio, one of Spain's most famous matadors, was gored in the throat during a bullfight. The incident took place during the Festival of Saint Isidro, considered to be the most important event in the bullfighting calendar, at the Plaza de Toros las Ventas bullring in May 2010. The matador has survived the attack but the bull was killed after the incident. (Link)

It looks like a mop with a face but actually it's Hungarian Puli sheep dog, Fee. In this pic he is jumping over a hurdle during a preview for a pedigreedog show in Dortmund on Thursday April 24, 2008. Photo by Frank Augstein. (Link)

Drunk driver + Bike race = 10 injured, 1 dead. Sad but true, it happened in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, in June 2008. The driver was drunk driving. (Link)

Unedited mobile phone shot of a girl on her bike in front of the royal palace in Amsterdam, reflected in a puddle. No editing, no tricks, no Photoshop. This picture was chosen as 'Photo of the day' at the Metro Photo Challenge and featured in the print version of the Metro newspaper. (Link)

Single exposure. Multiple images created with custom flash synchronization and multiple flash heads. (Link)

Love is in the air, or in this case, on the Earth. This heart-shaped island looks man-made but actually it's a work from nature and was only recently highlighted by Google Earth. This cute Croatian island, lined on every side with golden sands, is located in Zadarski Kanal (Zadar Channel) between Zadar and Island of Pasman. (Link)

There is a magic place in Bolivia, called Salar de Uyuni, where you can take amazing pictures like these. (Link)

What Is Hypnosis?

There is no agreed definition of the state of mind called hypnosis, and in our present state of knowledge a scientific explanation is not possible. But it is possible to describe the ways in which hypnosis differs from the normal state of awareness.

Description of Hypnosis:

1.          Attention is focussed on internal events. This occurs naturally in everyday life.

2.         There is a lessening of interest in and conscious awareness of external realities.
There is increased responsiveness to internally generated realities, often showing itself in ideo motor/ ideo-sensory responses. So hypnosis is not sleep.

3.         All hypnosis is self-hypnosis, but a willing subject can be guided into it by a Hypnotherapist.

4.         A hypnotherapist in rapport with the subject can guide and stimulate awareness of internal events in ways which elicit the vivification of memories, thoughts, feelings and mislaid abilities.

5.         Hypnosis does not create new abilities, but enables existing capacities to be used in new ways. In itself Hypnosis is not a therapy, but a tool of therapy.

6.         Hypnosis does not turn client’s into automates and client’s will reject suggestions unacceptable to their personalities.

7.          Client’s respond to the hypnotic process and to suggestions in their own creative and unique way and in the light of their personal understanding, experiences and abilities.

8.          In the normal waking state, the conscious mind is in control and, whilst maintaining a useful watch on external realities, also imposes all kinds of biases, pre suppositions, prejudices, rigidities, repressions, distortions, and fixed patterns of beliefs, thoughts, feeling and behaviour.

In the hypnotic state the limitations of the conscious mind are set aside for a time and the unconscious mind becomes more literal. There is a more child like pattern of response, an increased availability of thoughts and memories previously hidden from awareness, and a greater openness to new concepts and behaviours.
9.         The hypnotic state can be used to obtain post-hypnotic responses and can facilitate such phenomena as positive and negative hallucination amnesia, regression, automatic drawing and writing, and time distortion. Like trance, however, all these phenomena occur naturally in everyday life.

10.       The deliberate induction of hypnotic trance and the elicitation of desired phenomena usually requires some learning on the part of the subject.

11.       Any normal and willing person can be hypnotised provided that there is adequate motivation and that the personal needs and idiosyncrasies of the individual subject are acknowledged and met. This does not necessarily mean that any hypnotherapist can hypnotise everybody he meets.

12.       No special powers are required to be a hypnotic, and practically anyone can learn the relevant skills to some degree.

13.       Although there are some typical trends, everybody manifests hypnotic trance and responds to suggestions in his or her unique way.

How Do Students Fail?

Among 365 days in a year, we have 52 Saturdays, which are obviously government holidays. If we deduct 52 days from 365 days, we have 313 days left in our hand. Among which we receive winter holidays, summer holidays, Dashain and Tihar holidays of 31 days. Each of which is 93 days in total.
Then deucting 93 days from 313 we get 220 days left. As a human being we have other essential works like eating, drinking, toilet and bathroom cuurse. We spend 4-5 hours daily which is equal to 77 days. after deducting 77 days from 220 days we get 143 days. WE humanbeings are not machine. They get tired of working. So they need rest. We spent 6-7 hours daily spending while sleeping which is equal to 107 days. Now we just have 32 days in our hand. NEPAL BANDA, CHAKKA JAM those are common to our daily life. We have 7-10 days strikes which gives us holiday without any reason.
Again we get holiday for Krishna Asthami, Holi Purnima etc. At least 23 days are spent due to these reasons.  Deducting 10 days as Nepal Banda and 23 days as various festivals from the result distribution days of three terminal exams. You can now make out how many days are left to study? Is there any time for study?

life style of pepple in Karnali region

The life style of people living in Karnali region is really backward. the nature itself has given this such unfavourable condition that though the other regions of Nepal has developed, this region is still backward. There is no any facilities of communication or transportation. The land of Karnali region is not fertile either. Yhough the people here work in the field alot, the are not able to prduce sufficient. the people in Karnali region is like the squerrel that run in the cage.

The people of karnali region is economically linked with Nepaljung. They visit Nepaljung and sell whatevedr they produce there. they sell the goods like Silajit, hand neet sweaters, Harshis etc. From the money they got they buy their necessery products. The people of Karnali region is highly supersticious as well. They perform their before the right time inorder to avoid the bad star. eg, preparing silajit i the way to Nepaljung to avoid the bad star. Also the people of karnali region are uneducted, innocent, ignorant as well as unknown about the world.
